Profile:
Ms. Janovsky practices employment and labor law in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. She is Board Certified in Labor and Employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She handles cases involving employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour claims, severance packages, enforcement of covenants not-to-compete, contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty and trade secrets. She has represented employers, individuals and unions in matters before state and federal courts, the E.E.O.C., the National Labor Relations Board, the Department of Labor, and the Texas Department of Insurance. Ms. Janovsky is also a frequent speaker on employment and labor law issues.
Ms. Janovsky has earned the distinction of “Texas Super Lawyer” in employment litigation in the years 2003, 2004 and 2005. She has also been named one of the “best lawyers” in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, Texas in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007 and 2008 by “Fort Worth, Texas” Magazine. She received the Pro Bono Special Recognition Award, from West Texas Legal Services’Private Attorney Involvement Program in 2000.
Ms. Janovsky serves on the Pro Bono Advisory Committee of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas. She previously served as Chair of the Labor & Employment Section and the Women Lawyers’ Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association. She has served as the Vice President of Legislative and Legal Issues for the Fort Worth Human Resources Management Association. She has also served on the State Bar of Texas Legal Services to the Poor in the Civil Matters Committee, and the Fort Worth / Tarrant County Katrina Recovery Team.
Ms. Janovsky is AV(c) rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and licensed to practice in both Texas and California.
